Christmas Camp 2022

Each December, The School of Handles makes one last effort to end the year well with its annual Christmas Camp and this year is no different. Participating athletes will learn how to get past their defenders and play help side, position defense with the correct footwork involved. Led by Joel “King Handles” Haywood, who’s one the top All-Time Leading Scorers in Canadian University Basketball history (U Sports), as well as a globally renown streetballer.

King Handles is going to break it down step-by-step in detail, as to how to manipulate the ball and feet, in order to get what you want offensively, on the basketball court.

Christmas Camp Daily Agenda

Day 1 – Lateral Drift
Day 1 & 2 - Pocket Dribble/Hang Dribble
Day 2 - Footwork into Position
Day 2 & 3 - Lateral Drift while doing a Combo
Day 3 - Taking a Defenders Territory
Day 3 & 4 - Different Ways to Shoot the Basketball Off the Dribble
Day 4 - Different Angles to Get Your Shot Off

By the end of Day 4, you will have the knowledge and skills to be that much more of an offensive threat on the basketball court. Please ensure you pay close attention to detail and to stay fully focused for 3 hours each day of camp.

There will be a couple special guests attending as well.
