Beyond Conventional

Academy-style development programs are pivotal in understanding different player roles, gameplay IQ, and team dynamics. At School of Handles we take it a step further, developing the individual player, and their skill progression in order to help them achieve their goals as respective athletes and team members.

Gradual
Progression

Our methodology allows players of all levels to start pushing the boundaries of what they believe they’re capable of while focusing on expert ball handling, dexterity, and player movement. Once they’re confident in their ball-handling skills, our athletes become more effective in the other aspects of the game.

Fundamentals & a Bit of Flare

Whether it’s on the playground, in a recreation centre, or on the college court - coach Joey King Handles delivers a rarely seen combination of streetball and professional basketball experience. In doing so, this benefits athlete development when it comes to their own playing style and guides them to realize their full potential, with consistent progression.

I was fortunate enough to hook up my son with School of Handles about 4 years ago. All the coaches: Nico, Jeremy, James, Sky, and Yao eat sleep and breathe basketball. They all have a passion for the game and are dedicated to teaching the kids.

Just want to say that School of Handles has an incredible coaching staff. You are not going to get a better skills coach than the King of Handles himself, Joey Haywood. What an opportunity to get one-on-one lessons from Canada's top street ball player. Proud to have my son in this program.

Chux T.

Thanks SOH coaches, Yao, Marina, Aman, Nico and Joey aka King Handles, for coaching my kids. They are very patient and know what the kids need!

From Day 1 moving back to Van City, we joined King Handles. Thanks for taking care our kids in the basketball training.
